Social Robotics in Action: A Look Back at Our 2026 Events with Buddy
Over the past few months, the Blue Frog Robotics team has had the pleasure of meeting professionals, partners and visitors at several major events for social robotics.
From healthcare and retail to technology and innovation, these events provided opportunities to demonstrate how social robotics can create meaningful interactions and support new experiences.
More importantly, they allowed us to exchange ideas, discover new projects and showcase the different ways Buddy, our social robot, can interact with people.
Three Events, Three Ways to Experience Social Robotics
Each event highlighted a different aspect of the possibilities offered by Buddy. Depending on the environment and project goals, our companion robot can assist healthcare professionals, create a new in-store experience, or participate in innovation-focused events through social robotics.
Through these three events, we primarily wanted to demonstrate one thing: social robotics truly comes into its own when it addresses concrete use cases and fosters genuine interactions with users.
Health Innovation Days
Social robotics in the service of health and care support
🏥 Healthcare Innovation Days – Cité des sciences et de l’industrie
At the Healthcare Innovation Days, we presented some of the ways social robotics can contribute to healthcare, support and inclusion.
Buddy demonstrated how a social robot can facilitate interaction, communication and engagement while creating new opportunities for professionals and users.
This event was also an opportunity to discuss the role of robotics in addressing some of the challenges facing healthcare and healthy ageing.
Galeries Lafayette
Buddy is piloting a new approach to in-store customer welcoming using social robotics.
🛍️ Galeries Lafayette – Rethinking the Customer Experience
At Galeries Lafayette, Buddy stepped into a retail environment to explore new ways of rethinking customer welcome and interaction.
From greeting visitors to providing information and creating engaging moments, Buddy showed how a social robot can complement human teams and contribute to a more interactive customer experience.
This real-world experiment highlighted the potential of social robotics in retail, particularly when technology is designed to create connections rather than replace human interaction.
VivaTech
Buddy at the heart of the tech ecosystem
🚀 VivaTech 2026 – Innovation at the Heart of Paris
At VivaTech 2026, Buddy joined one of Europe’s leading technology and innovation events.
Surrounded by startups, technology companies and innovators, Buddy helped bring social robotics to life through interactive demonstrations and engaging experiences.
The event was a great opportunity to meet the technology ecosystem, exchange ideas and demonstrate how robotics, artificial intelligence and human interaction can come together.
And This Is Only the Beginning
And now, the adventure continues!
These three events illustrate the diversity of environments in which social robotics can make a difference.
From healthcare and inclusion to retail, events and technology, Buddy continues to explore new ways of interacting with people and supporting organizations.
